The GSMESKILL project aims to strengthen the collaboration between Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa with the Erasmus+ Programme's Vocational Education and Training (VET) system and labour market. Its primary goal is to better align VET with local labour market demands, enhance the capacity of VET providers and educators—particularly in the areas of management, governance, inclusion, quality assurance, innovation, and internationalization—and ultimately improve the competencies, skills, and employability of VET learners.
The project also seeks to build the technical, managerial, and pedagogical expertise of VET teachers and trainers, and to facilitate greater exposure for staff and policymakers, helping to bridge the gap between VET systems and labour market needs.
To achieve these goals, the project will implement the following key activities:
These core activities are supported by targeted dissemination strategies involving the private sector, a robust sustainability plan, international exchange initiatives, virtual workshops, and multi-stakeholder working groups comprising VET institutions, businesses, and young entrepreneurs.

for VET Entrepreneurial Green Mindset and skills for Small Business Development

The GSMESKILL forum is designed to foster cooperation, strengthen networks, and facilitate the exchange of good practices between VET providers in EU Member States and VET providers in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa
As part of the WP3 we gather cutting-edge digital and innovative methodologies tailored for VET providers and educators, enhancing their competencies in the field. Central to this initiative is the development of a comprehensive Training Toolbox designed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and skills critical for small business development among VET participants. The project activities also focus on improving connectivity between national stakeholders, VET practitioners, and experts by providing streamlined access to vital information, knowledge, strategic options, and data to better inform policy and practice. Furthermore, we seek to promote inclusivity by encouraging broader participation in TVET programs.
